Golf Instruction

Our knowledgeable staff of PGA instructors have decades of experience helping golfers improve their game. We offer both individual and group instruction, along with special lessons for beginners, juniors and advanced players.

Head Professional Tom Kelly is a 29-year member of the PGA.  He played collegiate golf at Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa, played the Florida Mini-Tour Circuit and qualified for and competed in PGA Tour events in the 1980's.  A professional since 1976 and a Certified Club Fitter since 1990, he has served as Head Golf Professional at two golf courses among Golf Digest's Top 100. His students have included three Collegiate All-Americans, five PGA Tour players, including 2004 Honda Classic and British Open Champion Todd Hamilton and Dale Morey, a Golf Digest No. 1-ranked senior amateur.  He has also coached a State Champion High School golf team and instructed thousands of beginners and average players.

Teaching Professional Brian Stedman has been a PGA Professional for 15 years and in the golf business for 23 years.  An expert in Club Repair and technology, Brian has excelled developing and teaching several youth programs and college classes.  He coached the Barton County Community College Golf Team along with helping produce a weekly golf show for television and radio.  He also spent five years as an assistant working under Kansas City teaching legend and PGA Teacher of the Year, Stan Thirsk.

Teaching Professional John Richman has been an award winning instructor and PGA Professional for 15 years serving at clubs in Nebraska and Kansas.  He was Midwest Section PGA Teacher of the year in 2004 and 2007, and has been listed as a Top Teacher by State in Golf Digest Magazine in 2005, 2006 & 2007.  Golf magazine recognized John as a Top Teacher in America in 2005,2006, & 2007 and Golf Range Magazine awarded John the honor of being one of the Top 50 Instructors in America for 4 consecutive years. 

Assistant Professional Dave Kelly, attended Western Carolina University, served as a golf staff member at a PGA Senior Tour facility and at a Golf Digest Top 30 club in North Carolina.  Armed with expert knowledge of club technology, he also possesses an exceptional "eye" for the golf swing as an accomplished artist and from his training in graphic arts. Dave has been teaching for five years and playing under his father's (Tom's) tutelage for 24 years.
